Company Information
MicroBionetics, Inc. was formed in January 2012 following the merger of MicroBionetics, LLC and its majority owner, IME, Inc.  MicroBionetics’ headquarters is located in Eldersburg, Maryland.

IME, Inc., MicroBionetics’ predecessor company, was established in 1981 as a supplier of customized, private labeled water testing equipment for numerous industrial companies and government agencies. Over the years, a substantial number of new inventions were developed; most notably, in 1992, the IME Test™ reagent ampoule system. Jointly developed with George Mason University, the IME Test provides operators of cooling towers with a rapid measurement field tester that warns of impending “out of control” conditions. The IME Test reagent ampoule system provides long shelf life, rapid reacting and one step chemical testing for field applications. (This technology is the foundation for the CultureStat Rapid UTI Detection System.) Today, the company offers our CultureStat System for UTI detection as well as additional products for microbiologic and chemical elements present in water, soil, air and surface test environments.
